Super Undies Hero Review

My oldest son is at the potty training phase. The biggest issue that kept arising for me was the appropriate nighttime wear. I didn't want to continue to put him in diapers because I felt that was a set back but I also didn't want him to wake up soaked. Sometime's he doesn't potty at all overnight, but other times he potties enough to fill up an entire diaper. I decided to give the new super undies hero trainer a shot.
Upon removal from the package, I was very impressed by the appearance of these trainers.  The design was unique. The soft pul to the soft fleece leg and hip sections make for a comfortable fit.
The inside of these trainers feature a "pocket" of sorts that also serves as a double gusset. The hero inserts are sold separately but they are worth it. They fit nicely into this "pocket" and it really holds them in place so the don't bunch or move out of position.

The inserts we got were the Super Undies Hero microfiber inserts. These inserts surprised me with the design also. The two contoured inserts come as a set. Both inserts are topped with a "feel wet" fabric to help alert your child of bed wetting accidents. They are designed like this to help your child be more aware of accidents to hopefully make bedwetting accidents happen less.
The larger insert has a pocket that you can put the step up insert in to customize your absorbancy depending on your child. The step up insert could also stand alone if your child needs less absorbancy. The large insert has opening on both ends and the insert does agitate out even in an he machine.
The inserts fit nicely into the "pocket" and stay put. They do not bunch up even with a lot of movement which keeps the absorbancy where it needs to be. They will come out in the wash cycle so you don't have to remove them if you don't like messing with inserts.
We have used these a few nights and even on a heavy wetting night haven't had any leaks. My son loves being able to wear his "big boy" underpants to bed. He has started having less accidents throughout the night and is officially out of diapers. The Super Undies Hero trainers have been a great potty training tool and I'm very pleased with them. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a night time solution during potty training.

Mommycon 2017

I'm so excited that mommycon is coming back to Atlanta this year. I went last year and had a blast.
Do you have young kids or are expecting and want to attend a convention about parenthood. Last year they had babywearing, potty training and sleep training classes. I personally loved the sleep classes. It really helped to fix my daughters sleeping problems.
There were also some awesome giveaways and a nice gift bag that you get for just attending. There was a large hall with lots of great companies and products. I loved being able to gets hands-on with some of these products.
If you are planning on attending this year I have a discount code you can use to save $5 off your regular admission tickets. Go tohttps://mommycon.com/events/ to select your event and use code clothdiaperingmum17 to take advantage of this discount. I will definitely be at mommycon Atlanta and can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves. Will I see you there?

Garden adventures

This year we have decided to try our hand at organic gardening. We thought it would be so exciting to grow our own food and important for our kids. I've used this as a learning experience for the oldest baby.

Last year we started our own compost. Its been so much easier than we would've imagined and so satisfying. As a family of 5 we only go through one trash bag a week because most of what we use is recyclable or compostable.

So far we have had 3 raspberries and 2 blueberries. They taste so much different than store brought fruit. I'm loving our little home garden. We will have a large harvest of berries soon as there are so many unripe berries growing.

We are also growing a few other plants. So far we have our cucumbers, peas and carrots in the ground and tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, pumpkins and watermelons in starter pots. I will be sharing more on our gardening expedition.
